If you’ve been checking back recently wondering why things have gone unusually quiet around here, thank you. Some of you visit my website to make a booking. Others seem to have developed a habit of wandering into my blog every now and then.
I haven’t forgotten about you.
Every year before my long overseas trip, life becomes a curious balancing act. There are clients to see, messages to answer, a home to prepare for several weeks of absence, and a seemingly endless list of little jobs that somehow only reveal themselves when you’re about to leave. I wrote about this once in Pre-Holidays Chaos, and despite promising myself I would be more organised next time… well, let’s just say I’m still a work in progress.
The good news is that the suitcases are slowly filling, the to-do list is getting shorter, and my annual escape is almost here.
One thing I’ve learned over the years is that changing countries also changes the way I think. Walking unfamiliar streets, sitting in quiet cafés, watching people go about their ordinary lives… those moments have a habit of finding their way back here as new stories.
So if this little corner of my website has been quieter than usual, don’t worry. Think of it as the calm before the next chapter.
I’ll see you again soon, hopefully with a notebook full of fresh ideas.
Philip
Have a lovely lovely break. Hopefully we will read all about it in your next blog post
